The National Association for Poetry Therapy Presents
virtual open mic night
Community Poetry and Other Inspirations
With Featured Poet: Beth Jacobs

Beth Jacobs is a poet and non-fiction writer who facilitates poetry groups with children, grandparents raising grandchildren, new parents, and staff at Family Focus of Evanston, Illinois. She is the author of Long Shadows of Practice: Poems, Writing for Emotional Balance, Paper Sky, The Original Buddhist Psychology, and A Buddhist Journal. She is a grateful member of NAPT since 1996.
Beth Jacobs will read poems she has written and poems from groups she has facilitated at Family Focus of Evanston IL. (Ages 6 and up-photo and poems permission granted) The depth and spontaneity of the community poetry, particularly the fresh works of the younger members, remind us to look more carefully, and live with more bravery, humor, and freedom.
