At its core, our mission strives to promote the worth and dignity of all people, and we advocate for the advancement of diversity and inclusion through the interactive process of biblio-poetry therapy.
We dedicate ourselves to the principle of equity, and social, racial, and gender justice. We fully endorse the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Disabled communities and the voices that are not in the mainstream culture. We consciously exercise these principles in our art and practice through research, education, outreach and dissemination.
We will endorse and support these voices through professional education, dissemination of writings by the communities, and support of and promotion of NAPT membership. We exercise intentional awareness of the impact of social and cultural factors in the literature and poetic process.
